Learning is best imparted from masters of the trade. Contus, home to some of the best tech minds in the world has always placed great importance for continuous learning, especially from the student community.
With that approach to learning, when we received a request for an industrial visit from RMK College for Engineering, a pioneer in engineering education, we were all ready to roll out a warm welcome.
On 4th March 2017, 60 aspiring engineers from RMK College, one of the city’s finest institutions for engineering education visited Contus as part of their annual industrial visit program. The purpose of the visit to gain a real-world understanding of how a digital transformations company works from the insides.
Mr. Dinesh Soundararajan, Director of Mobility Solutions, Contus envisioned the industrial visit and charted out the details that were carried out during the session. Ms. Priya Gururaj from Contus Quality Assurance hosted the event and shared with budding engineers the departmental workflow and processes that Contus adheres to create next-gen tech products and services.
A brief walkthrough of some of the products that Contus had specially engineered for enterprise instant messaging, Internet of Things, Augmented Reality and video on demand streaming was also rendered. Students were also enlightened on the growing demand for skilled engineers in the digital engineering space.
The eager attendees lapped up every instance of the visit with great enthusiasm and was quick to respond with queries during the entire course of the session.The visit ended with an interactive Q&A session where students quizzed further about the works that Contus had done and the technologies it currently toys with.
